HomeDisplayPort cable labels: DP40 and DP80
DisplayPort cable labels: DP40 and DP80
VESA certifies DisplayPort cables by link rate: a DP40 cable must support up to UHBR10 (10 Gbps per lane) and a DP80 cable up to UHBR20 (20 Gbps per lane). DP80 cables also carry UHBR13.5. Both work with the older rates, down to HBR3, HBR2, HBR and RBR.

Results use PC monitor timings (VESA CVT reduced blanking v2 as the headline), not the TV and console timings in CTA-861, so a TV or console may need more bandwidth than shown. RGB/4:4:4 color. DSC verdicts are at maximum compression (8 bpp), the lowest rate VESA's DSC standard allows for 4:4:4, and show the compression each mode needs.
